• Assist Site HSE Supervisor in enforcing HSE procedures at work site.
• Site inspection and reporting unsafe act and condition to HSE Supervisor.
• Help Investigate accidents/incidents including near misses and determine probable causes and develop appropriate safety measures to prevent recurrence of similar incidents.
• Check suitability and quality of personal protective equipment.
• Participating in safety officers’ morning walk-through at project site.
• Monitor and ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained. Help in Implementation of client safety rules and requirements related to the project site. Verify implementation and effectiveness of corrective / preventive action.
• Inspection of working at Height, fall protection, scaffolding.
• Monthly fire extinguisher inspection and maintaining of inspection records.
• Help Ensure strict adherence to work permit procedure on work site.
• Help in Arrangement of required signboards.
• Close safety monitoring on lifting/rigging activities and erection for electrical equipment.
• Be fully familiar with the project emergency procedure and ensure that the same is fully conveyed to site employees.
• Assist in Initiating response in event of an emergency situation. Participate in emergency post mortem review.
• Assist in conducting risk assessments and communicate to concerned crew.
• Assist HSE Supervisor in monitoring compliance with indented control measures.
• Stop any activity immediately on detection of any substandard act, condition or potential hazard that would or could cause harm to an employee. (STOP the accident that is going to happen).
