Manage and lead big team of technicians specializing at highest level in mechanics, electrics(auto and industrial), CNC lathing and multiple welding, building, denting, and painting works in large central workshop works on maintenance, major and minor repairs, and refurbishment of 600 units of heavy equipment, 550 units of heavy trucks, 200 units of field service light and heavy vehicles, nine units of multistage stone crusher plants and three units of Asphalt production plants. My duties and responsibilities:

1- Directing daily operations to achieve maximum output and reduce costs by Leading and supervising almost 300 candidates of workshop staff in delivering monthly service almost 180 units of heavy equipment, heavy trucks and heavy or light vehicles, planning and conducting staff meetings to brainstorm new ideas and update technical information for improving efficiency of maintenance and service team.

2- Monitoring, checking, and following up all mechanical, electrical work assignment in workshop from corrective and preventive maintenance, major and minor repairs, field and interim repairs, rehabilitation, and refurbishment of all machineries.

3- Submitting schedule plans of systematic periodic preventive maintenance for major and minor repairs to reduce breakdowns by 80%, scheduling monthly inspection report, field service repair report, opening job card for machines need rehabilitation, and refurbishment, work order report, and direct cost report for machines in major repair, applying maintenance system for all working equipment depends on running hour meter or running traveling distances of equipment as recommended in operational manual of agent.

4- Processing budgeted payroll and stock ordering to maintain stable cash flow, by implementing all techno commercial activities as applying advanced negotiation skills to discuss contracts, policies and deadlines with suppliers and vendors of machineries and parts to make agreements at best prices, arranging purchase orders for stocks of fast moving and critical needed spare parts by using automatic tracking systems to keep computer system updated with goods movements and proactively place new orders at optimal times.

5- Ensuring of finalizing technical specifications of all equipment needed to run new projects or construction works to identify qualified machines, arrange meetings with project managers to study and evaluate suggested plans, preparing processes of bedding machines, manpower, accommodation, portable stuff offices for new started projects, also processes of evacuating sites after completion of projects delivery.

6- Improving operational efficiency with enhanced equipment reliability and to grasp the concept of equipment reliability must work on three main key components which are availability, maintainability and dependability, so for measuring equipment reliability we need to measure:

  • Mean time between failures.
  • Mean time to repair.
  • Failure rate.
  • Failure modes and types.
  • Availability of repairing and maintenance spare parts.
  • Monitoring equipment condition continuously.

7- Supporting business upgrade by new equipment brand purchasing and to do that, need to consider main key factors before taking final decision of purchasing major equipment, and these factors are:

  • Researching different industries which will be suitable for our business needs.
  • Checking the suppliers reputation by taking enough time in negotiating number of suppliers to get necessary information about size, price, time for availability, durability, quality of raw materials used in manufacture for taking informed decision.
  • Assessing exact our needs by looking into whether it will be more beneficial for our company business to purchase new equipment or second hand or hiring the required machinery.
  • Considering our budget to reflect on the quality of performance, reliability, capacity, efficiency and environmental impacts.
  • Understanding well maintenance and repairing cost of this type of equipment.
  • Considering the depreciation ratio and how much will lose from its value over time.

8- Improving efficiency of the workshop by establishing expansions for new sections of central workshop to perform best work in controlled climate and reduce time spent in maintenance and repairs, also assisted in developing warehouses (stores) by applying new software of storing programs, and conducted workshop risk assessments, reducing accidents and near misses by 60%.

9- Leveraged effective supply chain planning systems to facilitate business operations and improve demand, sales, operations for distribution network including warehouse and logistics management.
